Delhi’s most popular choir, The Capital City Minstrels (CCM) has been in existence for more than two decades. Members from all walks of life - doctors, lawyers, management professionals, students, performing artistes, teachers, home managers and retired persons - all come together to create harmony through music.CCM’s repertoire covers a wide range from the earliest choral music to the entire spectrum of western classical music, Indian music arranged for choirs, opera, ballads, gospel, Broadway, jazz and pop. CCM has performed over 200 concerts since the early 1990’s at prestigious venues within and outside India. The choir undertook the Concert titled – “With Love, From India’’ for two very successful European concert tours to Hungary, Germany, Switzerland and France in 2008 and 2015.The repertoire will contain music written by Indian composers or choral music that has been inspired by classical Hindustani and Carnatic traditions, some popular Bollywood tunes rearranged for choirs, traditional Indian folk music from all over the great continent and western composers who have been influenced by Indian instruments and music. The Conductor is Lindsay Ross Boyd who received her Master of Music degree in Instrumental Conducting at the University of Minnesota, USA.
