About Speaker Professor Y. Sudershan Rao: Sri Y. Sudershan Rao served as Chairperson of Indian Council of Historical Research, HRD, New Delhi. Prior to that he served as a member of the ICHR and was National Fellow of the University Grants Commission. He served as Head of History Department; he also served as Chairman of the board of studies and later as Dean of Faculty of Social Sciences at Kakatiya University and worked as a professor in the department of history and tourism management at Kakatiya University for over forty years.

As chairperson of ICHR he streamlined and initiated various projects like :

The Translation project,

The Dictionary of Administrative terms in Ancient and Medieval Literatures.
