Dave O’Carroll, War Child, speaking on “100 years on: what’s changed for children in war?”
Two exhibitions will be open to those who attend the talk, both produced by the Gateways to the First World War project.
1. Cinema and the First World War: This exhibition, curated by Dr Emma Hanna, explores the role of cinema during WW1 both at home and on the Front.
2. The Indian Army in the First World War: This exhibition, curated by Professor Mark Connelly, explores the history of the Indian Army in WW1. The exhibition examines the key battles and experiences of Indian soldiers and the ways in which their contributions to the war have been commemorated.
All guests will be offered a complimentary drink on arrival.
