Did you know there are more than 350 careers in the NHS? Some will give you direct contact with patients, while in others you are part of a vast support network vital to delivering healthcare. Some roles are in hospitals, others are based in the community. Some require the highest academic standards, while for many positions employers are looking for enthusiasm, keenness to learn and the ability to work as part of a team.

This event is aimed at students in Year 10 and above in Barnet and Enfield and their parents, guardians, carers and teachers/careers advisors. However, the event is open to anyone who is interested in finding out more about a wide variety of career destinations within health and social care.
Exhibitors include representatives from local health care trusts, local FE and HE institutions, ambassadors from relevant professional bodies supported by a range of doctors, nurses, dentists, pharmacists and health care workers.
Careers Advice will be available from impartial careers advisors and students will have access to the online personality assessment tool ‘Discover Me’.
Exhibitors have been asked to share their knowledge with students on topics such as:
- Routes into their chosen field
- Qualifications and experience needed
- What they love about their jobs
- What motivated them to choose their profession as a career
