Creative Writing is a great way to get members engaged with learning again. It is all about contextualisation and self-expression.
Throughout our history there has been a rich culture of working class self-expression, which has all-too-often gone undervalued and unrecognised. Through running creative writing events and workshops we can encourage people to find their voice – and discover the power of language.
This event is aimed at Union Learning Reps, other union reps who might be interested in promoting learning in the workplace.
As well as providing an opportunity to see the highly praised Poets, Prattlers & Pandemonialists, participants will be asked to participate in a creative writing workshop and take the opportunity to see the range of what CWU learning reps can offer – both in the workplace and the wider community.
Lunch is provided.
This is a free event – but we ask you to register to assist us in catering.
